Halloween is celebrated in Canada on or around October 31. It is a day to mark the single night in the year when, according to old Celtic beliefs, spirits and the dead can cross over into the world of the living. Some people hold parties and children may trick-or-treat in their neighborhoods.
During the three weeks of October, CBLC Student Services Department took over 50 students to join the "Fright Night" activity at Two Rivers Wildlife Park, Cape Breton Island. The guided walk let the students experience 25 minutes of the most frightening encounters with the UNDEAD. Encounters that they could never have imagine. Although this is the first time many students joined the Halloween activity in Canada, CBLC students enjoyed the party very much and made many local friends. Students also took in the spectacular view of the Mira and Salmon Rivers. The Halloween activity was a great success and created memories to last a lifetime.
