Graduation is the action of receiving or conferring an academic degree or the ceremony that is sometimes associated, where students become graduates. Before graduation, candidates are referred to as graduates. The date of graduation is often called Graduation Day or Convocation Exercises. Additionally, in Canada, the term is increasingly being used to refer to the advancement from a primary to secondary school level.
During the 2013 Graduation Ceremony on Friday, December 6th at Morrison Campus, CBLC celebrated the accomplishments of more than 1000 graduating international students. These students are from six countries including China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Japan, Ukraine, and Korea. Cape Breton University President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. David Wheeler was in an attendance giving high praise for those CBLC graduates. His comments included recognition of the support CBLC staff members have contributed to the overall achievements the students have accomplished. Students also had a wonderful Christmas party enjoying tasty food, excellent music, and exciting lucky draws at the conclusion of Graduation Ceremony.
