Curling is a sport in which players slide stones across a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four rings. It is related to bowls, boule and shuffleboard. The history of curling in Canada extends back to the origins of this country's earliest European immigrants. It is an important history that reflects Canada's social and cultural development.
On Friday, February 7th, CBLC Student Services Department held a successful Curling activity at Sydney Curling Club. The activity involved over 30 International Students. Although this was the first time many students bowled in Canada, they enjoyed the curling very much making new friends along the way. The students enjoyed fierce competition resulting in all having increased interest and ability for curling. CBLC Student Services Department provides various sports activities every semester.
