Cape Breton Language Centre (CBLC) improves a student’s English language skills, removing a barrier to the successful completion of subsequent academic programs and further professional development. CBLC prepares students for the academic demands of Cape Breton University Programs. As closely as possible, our program reflects the authentic tasks and assignments students do when they go to credit programs at university or college. Through our close relationship with our partner, students can experience university life first-hand while studying at CBLC.
Cape Breton Language Centre (CBLC) is a language centre located on the Cape Breton University (CBU) campus in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. The centre offers English for Academic Preparation to international students who wish to enter university but lack the required English proficiency. Students, who successfully complete the EAP Program, are successful on the CBLC exit examination, and who meet university admission requirements for their selected programs, will be accepted by CBLC partners for university studies, subject to program enrolment maximum numbers.
