Tony Hajjar

Instructor

Ever since my teaching career began in 1993, I have thoroughly enjoyed my work. It all started with adult literacy and language-teaching in Ottawa with the Basic Education for Skills Training program, sponsored by the Ontario Federation of Labour. After that I studied the Cambridge CTEFLA, and in 1996 went to Korea for a year to teach ESL. When I returned to Ottawa, I taught at La Cité collégiale, and CEGEP in Quebec for four years teaching EAP, communications, business English and ESL. Then I went to Japan for an eight-year adventure, teaching and managing a corporate language training business. I've continued to study and to work within the language-teaching field.
I started with Cape Breton Languae Centre in 2010. Meeting students is very rewarding for me, and to witness the success of our students at CBLC is even more rewarding.
